Application

The selection will be made on the basis of a two tier process:

Phase 1

Please send your application with your CV and a transcript of records to katharina.harreiter@univie.ac.at

The deadline for your application is on Monday, 31 October at 23:59.

Phase 2

On 3 November:

Students who sent their application will be invited to the oral phase of the selection process.

This will include:

1.      Questions regarding the Mini Moot Court Case

2.      A personal interview with the coaching staff (motivations, course of studies, availability etc.).

Students should demonstrate their ability to present a legal topic in English and to react calmly and thoughtfully to the questions.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    Applicants should demonstrate:

    • interest in public international law/space law
    • ability to work in a team
    • proficiency in English
    • good general and legal writing skills
    • good rethorical and presentation skills

But most importantly: A lot of motivation.

Prior knowledge of public international law/international space law is welcome, but not required.

A team of three students will be selected by the Faculty Advisor and the coaching team in a written and oral  selection process. The qualifications required will be balanced against each other. For example, motivation may make up for lack of prior knowledge of public international law, or excellent writing skills may compensate less developed presentation skills.
